This stamp - shown front and back - is typical of the Andreasen & Lachmann "Numbered" poster stamp series. It was published towards the end of 1913, in an edition of 25,000 stamps. The backprint shows details of the stamp and also has text at top reading:
"Modern Studio to address all artistic projects at all prices." |
This stamp is not part of Andreasen & Lachmann's "Numbered series.
Few details are known about their other poster stamps. |
This stamp was part of the Andreasen & Lachmann numbered series, and was issued on January 26, 1914, in an issue size of 50,000 examples. The design depicts a stylized "Guardian Angel" over the skyline of København. The backprint lists the various insurance products offered by the company, along with details about the stamp. |
This stamp, printed by Andreasen & Lachmann advertising Bähncke's mustard, is part of a series published in 1932 for the Danish store Magasinet.
This stamp is # 37 from a series of 60 different, and wereissued with small tabs at the bottom, and an album with spaces for all of the stamps and tabs. Completed albums could be turned in at the offices of Magasinet, and owners names would be entered into a drawing for cash prizes ranging from 10 Kroner to 1500 Kroner. |
Both stamps are similar, showing the revised monogram, and the address of Frederiksberggade 14 indicates they were issued after 1916.
The stamps are embossed, and die-cut with simulated perforations. The stamp to the left is yellow green on yellow surface-colored paper. The stamp to the right appears to have less of a yellow influence on the ink and paper color. |
At left is the listing, including a display advertisement, in the Kraks Vejviser for 1918. The two addresses are shown, since the retail outlet had moved to Frederiksberggade 14 (København) around 1916, but the workshop was still at Nordre Frihavnsgade, and wouldn't move to the new location until around 1920. |
