Common Design Types
Poster stamp publishers frequently created sets or series of stamps that could be "personalized" by individual traders.
These sets usually followed a theme or unifying concept, and could be related to a particular business type, or they could support an unrelated theme, making them more attractive to collectors.
Some of these sets were printed so that a trader could have their own information overprinted on the existing stamps.
Other types, less common, have the trader's name integrated into the design.
